Pye provides clients with analysis of regulatory and policy initiatives in the electric and natural gas sectors. In addition to work on air regulations, Pye focuses on water issues, particularly those associated with unconventional shale gas development. He also tracks economic and regulatory policy developments for renewable energy sources and contributes to MJB&A’s quarterly, Environmental Energy Insights. Recently, Pye has supported efforts aimed at increasing coordination between the electric and natural gas sectors.
Before joining MJB&A, Pye taught English at a university in Wuhan, China, using his free time to travel throughout the country and region.
Pye holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in History from Union College. A significant amount of his work at Union focused on historic and modern Chinese environmental policy.
