Rob joined MJB&A in 2012 to lead the development of new and expanded products and services in the natural gas, electric power, and transportation sectors. Rob has 20 years of professional experience working on the intersection of energy and environmental issues with deep expertise in environmental policy and strategy, energy scenario analysis, climate change policy, emissions trading and clean energy.
Before joining MJB&A, Rob worked for IHS CERA where he managed environmental, climate change, and clean energy research including the IHS Climate Change and Clean Energy Forum. Rob led the research and delivery of strategic reports, multi-client studies, and consulting projects. He advised IHS clients on new clean energy & environmental policies, evolving greenhouse gas policies & markets and rapidly changing clean energy markets.
Prior to IHS, Rob worked for PG&E National Energy Group as Director of Environmental Policy and Strategy. He has managed the design and implementation of numerous environmental regulations and emissions trading programs in previous positions with the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Maryland Department of the Environment. Rob has testified before the US Congress and has worked with a wide range of stakeholders including foreign governments, US federal and state governments, industry groups, and nongovernmental organizations in the development of environmental and energy policies.
Rob holds a BA from Wittenberg University, an MS from the University of Pennsylvania and the French Petroleum Institute, and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
