In a recent tweet, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) has applauded Entergy Corporation for producing a “fully” TCFD-aligned climate report, outlining the company’s approach to climate change risks and opportunities. Entergy has also become an official supporter of the TCFD. M.J. Bradley & Associates (MJB&A) has been supporting a variety of clients on these issues and worked with Entergy to conduct its climate scenario analysis and prepare its climate report. By planning for future uncertainties and engaging with stakeholders on their approach to managing these issues, companies can strengthen their competitive position and demonstrate the resilience of their business strategies in a transition to a lower carbon economy.
In 2018, MJB&A also developed a new framework, commissioned by Ceres, that describes the use of scenario analysis to assess potential implications of a 1.5 to 2-degree transition and the physical impacts of climate change.
